Abran Balfour

Abran Balfour was a moff of the Galactic Empire whose Star Destroyers often patrolled the Llanic Spice Run trade route in the Llanic system. Balfour represented the Empire the nearest to where the fleet of the Alliance to Restore the Republic was stationed—in the Sujimis sector—in 0 ABY.

That year, Princess Leia Organa cautioned fellow Alliance member Luke Skywalker, who was scheduled to travel to the Llanic system, to avoid making Balfour wonder if the Rebel fleet was situated in the sector governed by the Moff. As Skywalker arrived in the system, he immediately came across one of Balfour's Star Destroyers, but it was too far away to engage.
