Aila Helano was a corporate researcher who possessed a formula for a new stimulant, a "wonder stim," by 3638 BBY, during the Galactic War between the reconstituted Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. She sought to sell her formula directly to one of the two galactic powers.
In that year, an individual associated with one of the two warring governments had a companion successfully broker a meeting between a representative of their government and Helano.
