Asset R-31 was a member of the intelligence network that served the independent operative known as the Shroud during the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. Around 3637 BBY, R-31 attempted to purchase potentially-incriminating holorecords from Supreme Chancellor Saresh's time as governor of the planet Taris; however, R-31 and the seller were both killed on Taris while negotiating. The Shroud believed the GenoHaradan assassin group to be responsible, and the asset's death prompted the Shroud to send Asset R-10 to investigate.
