AV-9R was a protocol droid used by the Galactic Republic during the Galactic War. In 3639 BBY AV-9R was on the Carrick Station, where he suffered a mobility malfunction. While being repaired by technician Mua Niab, AV-9R relayed to an important figure a coded priority message from Supreme Chancellor Leontyne Saresh regarding the Battle of Denova.
