B2-44 was an astromech droid used by the Sith Empire during the Galactic War. Stationed at the Thesh Outpost on Hoth, B2-44 suggested to an Imperial hero that the White Maw pirates could be more easily dealt with, if one were to take out their source of income - a rare variant of Lumni spice produced in Hoth's unique climate.
