Banda was a yellow-carapaced Chiggnash criminal who operated on Nar Shaddaa, the smuggler's moon of Nal Hutta, shortly after the rise of the Galactic Empire.

In 19 BBY, Banda was contacted by the Pacithhip docking bay attendant Shnozitskigante-maximilliana with a proposition to rob the incognito Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi on Nar Shaddaa, though Shnozitski demanded a fifty-one-percent fee for the information and mistook Banda for fellow Chiggnash Riley. A deal was struck, and Banda, sporting a squib tensor rifle and two crossed bandoliers, cornered the Jedi in one of the moon's back alleys, supported by Riley and a trio each of mind-controlled Gamorrean sows, Kyuzo go-zeki, and rabid frog-dogs. Refusing to give in, Kenobi drew his lightsaber and slew the frog-dogs, revealing himself to be a Jedi and subject to the Imperial bounty on their order. However, the Chiggnash and their warrior drones were then set upon by a pair of Dark Jedi. Banda and Riley were dismembered and disarmed by former Jensaarai Mei, who killed the Chiggnash as they begged for mercy.
