Barev was a male Human Colonel serving the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Around 21 BBY he was stationed on Lanteeb and served under General Lok Durd and was placed in charge of the effort to capture the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. He employed a Drivok bounty hunter to locate them on a world map. The Drivok managed to locate the Jedi in the village of Torbel. He was later killed by Durd for failing to capture the two.
