BNZ-83 was an RA-7 protocol droid. During the Cold War, Han Solo conducted a test on the planet Azen to determine who would join his crew before a mission to capture Rathtars for king Grevoth Prana IX, which involved recovering a hyperdrive from the top of a mountain. BNZ-83 tripped and fell into rocks, failing the test.
