Bruhn was a Force-sensitive member of the Jedi Order. At some point by 3643 BBY, he began to succumb to the dark side of the Force. In order to protect the Jedi Order from the effects of such transformation, Bruhn decided to sacrifice himself for the organization's benefit. The fallen Jedi imprisoned himself in a tomb on a planet situated at the galaxy's fringe and eventually died there.

Around 3643 BBY, a Galactic Republic–allied individual sought out Bruhn's tomb, eventually discovering the Jedi's body and returning it to Tython, the homeworld of the Jedi Order. However, the individual who found Bruhn kept his belongings.
