Byllaya

Byllaya was an entity in the Doellinist religion of the Expansion Region planet Kinyen. According to Doellinism, Byllaya was the enemy of the goddess Doellin. Byllaya was described as an endlessly hungry beast that worked to eat Kinyen's native Gran species, who were also known as the crops of Doellin. The Gran were protected from Byllaya by Taya, the winged avatar of Doellin. By the Imperial Period, most Gran viewed the myth of Byllaya as poetic rather than literal.
