Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

For some time, a protocol droid served Craw, the self-titled Dictator-Forever of the planet Targonn. At some point, Craw told a visiting Hardexian ambassador a joke about three Hardex and a bantha. When the ambassador was not amused by the protocol droid's translation of the joke, Craw had the droid deactivated and turned into a fountain. In his new function, the droid's frame stood posed on one leg with both arms outstretched while water flowed from his mouth and birds used the structure as a perch.

In 5.5 BBY, Craw requested that his protocol droid be standing by. However, the Targonnian captain Steggus reminded him that he had been repurposed. The Dictator-Forever became frustrated, demanding Steggus acquire another one to replace him. The bipedal protocol droid had light orange plating and was classified as a class three droid.
