CZ-4 was a CZ-series secretary/business communications droid that belonged to the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure along with CZ-3. In 4 ABY, the broken body of the secretary droid was piled in a corner of the droid "assessment" room in the dungeon of the Hutt's palace on the planet Tatooine when the supervisor EV-9D9 met the new droids C-3PO and R2-D2 there. CZ-4 was missing its legs and had its right hand attached to its left arm, but it was later repaired and stood among a crowd that watched the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker dragged before Jabba after the Jedi had slain Jabba's rancor.
