Duttes Mer

Duttes Mer was the colonial governor of the Rafa system during the Imperial Period. A massive Human male, Mer became obsessed with the ancient Sharu artifact known as the Mindharp after assuming his seat on Rafa IV, partnering with Sorcerer of Tund Rokur Gepta to form a plan to acquire the Mindharp in 3 BBY. After entrapping offworld spacer Lando Calrissian to track down the artifact, Mer—who believed the Mindharp would give him control over the minds over all beings in the system—achieved his goal. However, Mer, uncomprehending of the Mindharp's true purpose, was killed upon activating the device.
