The Escalus line was a Human bloodline that included Jonas Escalus, a servant of the ancient Sith Lord Aloysius Kallig. Before his death, Kallig entrusted his lightsaber to Jonas, who swore that his family would protect the weapon until Kallig's heir reclaimed it.
