Essie

Essie was Jyn Erso's name for an SE-2 worker droid who worked on the farm of Galen Erso, keeping an eye on the horizon for any intruders. Despite being a menial labor droid, Essie had a very pronounced loyalty subroutine. In 13 BBY, he alerted the Erso family when he spotted Director Orson Krennic's Imperial shuttle approaching the homestead to capture the Ersos.
