Hss'kas was a male Trandoshan Broodmaster of the Blackscale Clan who lived during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Sometime following the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, Gursan Bryes tasked a spacer with killing Broodmaster Hss'kas. To that end, the spacer located a VT-49 Decimator crewed by Hss'kas in the Kashyyyk system, alongside an escort of four Rihkxyrk assault fighters. Hss'kas was successfully defeated, but managed to use an escape pod which reached the surface of Kashyyyk in the region of Etyyy. Bryes requested that the spacer go to Etyyy to kill Hss'kas once and for all.
