The Grand Inquisitor, Hydra, in her early life, was raised with a silent and savage uncle on her homeworld who she served and endured. Her uncle wasn't too pleased about Palpatine's rise to Emperor, spitting on the floor. However, Palpatine's rise excited Hydra and so one day she left her uncle to serve a better master than her uncle.
