The Jafan family was a family of humanoids that controlled the planet Jafan in the Chommell sector. The family had led the people who colonized the planet three centuries before the Invasion of Naboo, and still held a major role, with the head of the family serving as the planetary ruler. In 32 BBY, the current planetary controller sent his daughter Harli Jafan as an ambassador to the Chommell sector summit hosted by Queen Padmé Amidala of Naboo.
One of Harli's cousins sang backup in the popular band Neurotransmitter Affection.
