Jai was a female Mirialan who lived on Tatooine as a Nurse during the Cold War, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. Jai worked at the Dreviad Medcenter where she was helping Rowan Delk to recover from the Sand Rot, an illness caused by prolonged desert exposure. He derisively called her "Darth Nurse" for her overbearing nature.
