Jan Dez

Jan Dez was a male Rutian Twi'lek criminal on Coruscant, and acted as an associate to the Quarren Lauli Wahlo during the early Clone Wars. In 21 BBY, Wahlo was serving at his noodle shop Galaxy Noodles underworld levels of the planet Coruscant when the elderly Jedi Master Tera Sinube and the young Padawan Ahsoka Tano came looking for the latter's lightsaber, which had been stolen from her by a pickpocket during the arrest of the Weequay arms dealer Car Affa who sold weapons to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Wahlo took the two to the alley next to his shop where Dez was waiting next to a speeder. Wahlo admitted that he knew where to get a lightsaber for a price of 20,000 credits. Tano asked Whalo if he had the weapon with him and he replied that he could acquire it. Tano then showed the two criminals a holographic image of her suspected pickpocket Bannamu and asked if they would get it from him which scared Wahlo. Dez correctly guessed the two were Jedi and Whalo, who was anxious to get involved with Jedi, said that they just tried to do their old friend Bannamu a favor and Tano revealed that she was the rightful owner of the weapon. Wahlo responded that they would collaborate and Dez told her that Bannamu was staying at the nearby Spider Arms Hostel and said that they hoped that someday she would do them a favor. Later that year, Jan Dez was sitting on a speeder outside Moshi Bar in the Coruscant Underworld while Wahlo was inside and Dez was passed by Tano and Jedi Master Plo Koon as they entered the club.
