Janthir was a male Moff of the Sith Empire during the Cold War with the Galactic Republic who conquered a number of primitive planets in the Outer Rim Territories. Janthir allowed Imperial archaeologists to examine the plunder he took from the conquered worlds, and asked them to study an artifact built by the Kwa that the archaeologists identified amongst the spoils.
