Jeffers

Jeffers was a colonel in the Imperial Army. At one point between 19 BBY and 9 BBY, Colonel Jeffers served as an aide to General Irrv during the Galactic Empire's attempt to occupy the planet Culroon III. At Irrv's initiative, a ceremony was arranged to peacefully transfer power from the native Culroon and their leader, Kloff, to the Empire. The process was to be symbolized with an exchange of a ceremonial blaster and a Naval sword.

Jeffers attended the ceremony with Irrv, other Imperial officers, and a legion of stormtroopers, along with Kloff and a dozen Culroon warriors. When Irrv presented Kloff with the Naval sword, Kloff calmly impaled Jeffers in the chest—killing him—and launching an insurrection against the Empire. The Imperials were saved by an All Terrain Armored Transport commanded by Junior Lieutenant Maximilian Veers.
