Jelph Merrian's mother was a single mother on the planet of Toprawa. When her son, Jelph Marrian was younger, she told him stories about when the Sith had occupied Toprawa during the Great Sith War. She abandoned her son, but he was found by Krynda Draay, who eventually brought him into the Jedi Covenant.
