Jurfel was a male Verpine elder who was the Speaker of his hive. He openly rejected Bane Nothos' order to submit or die during Nothos' attempt to take over the Shantipole Project. Jurfel proceeded to assist Alliance to Restore the Republic agents in saving the B-wing/E starfighter's prototypes at Research Station Shantipole, by providing asteroid hoppers for them to cross the Roche asteroid field.
