Kadara Calrissian was a female individual and the daughter of Landonis Balthazar Calrissian. In the years of peace after the Galactic Civil War, Calrissian attempted to start a family, and his daughter was born in 13 ABY. In the time they were together, he was a loving father, however in 15 ABY, when she was two years old, she was kidnapped by the First Order, along with other children of former Rebel leaders.

After the tragedy of losing his daughter to the First Order and his failure in a quest with Luke Skywalker to find answers about the growing darkness in the Force, Calrissian settled on the desert planet of Pasaana to lead the life of a "hermit". At first, exiling himself and hoping to bury his painful memories, he found comfort from the modest and friendly native Aki-Aki communities and the simplified life centered him. After the Battle of Exegol, Lando's hopes for finding his daughter were renewed by an encounter with Jannah, who was a former stormtrooper herself. Having resolved to provide whatever assistance he could offer to the countless individuals that the First Order had stolen from their homeworlds, Lando, although he acknowledged it as being unlikely, hoped that he might find his daughter in the process.
