Kehal Kehouris

Kehal Kehouris was a Galactic Republic political figure who led the Second Isobian Revolution to overthrow the noble families of his homeworld Isobi. He then spent the remainder of his life in an oubliette, where he scratched treatises into its walls. During her youth, the Chandrilan Mon Mothma was enraptured by Kehouris' ardent and violent anti-royalism.

In 19 BBY, at some point after Kehouris had died, and in the first year after the Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Empire, Mothma, by then a senator, was detained and interrogated by Imperial security officers on the planet Coruscant. During her detainment, Mothma thought about several Republic political figures whom she considered to have been wrongly imprisoned, including Kehouris, mentally noting that parts of the galaxy still disfavored him and reflecting that she was not similar to the figures she had thought about.
