Leina was a Togruta. During childhood, she was friends with Shreya Ordassa. After Ordassa left Shili, the two did not see one another for some time. When Ordassa, now an esteemed professor, traveled to Cloud City, Bespin, with the intent to bid on the Jewel of Yavin, Leina visited the Outer Rim world as well. During the vacation, Leina was a regular customer of the Three Beldons Buffet. She could also be found at the Pair O'Dice casino in the Yarith Bespin hotel.
Because of their time apart, Leina was considerably less loyal, prioritizing her entertainment as much as catching up with or comforting Ordassa. Mil Mikkir, Ordassa's ex-boyfriend, flirted with Leina and quickly invited her to dance.
