Lom was a mercenary working for Vrath Xizor in 3653 BBY. That year, he participated in a skirmish on Vulta involving Xizor's quarry, the spice smuggler Zeerid Korr. Korr escaped Lom and the rest of Xizor's team with the assistance of Jedi Knight Aryn Leneer, after killing multiple members of the team. Lom and the rest of the survivors were picked up by the group's speeder. Lom was frustrated that they had failed to stop Korr, and the team were told by Xizor to rendezvous on Ord Mantell in three days.
