Lonni Jung

Lonni Jung was a human male who served as a mole for the Axis network led by Luthen Rael within the Imperial Security Bureau's Investigations branch. Despite his position as a ISB Supervisor, Looni had both a wife and a daughter, whom he went out of his way to protect. In 5 BBY, Jung was present at the board meetings where a rising supervisor named Dedra Meero began presenting leads on the existance of Rael's network, taking part in the discussion as well.

Around the same time, Meero got intelligence from a captured pilot on a planned attack on an Imperial power station by the rebel Anto Kreegyr, who was also in contact with Rael. Jung assisted in the fouling of the pilot's starship before meeting with Rael, passing on the news of Meero's efforts against his rebel activities. The supervisor, fearful of his position as a spy now that he had a daughter, tried to talk his way out the network at that meeting, but Rael convinced him that he was now trapped in his role, further choosing to not warn Kreegyr against making his attack so that Jung's position could be protected.

Jung continued to serve the ISB for the next several years, lending a hand to fellow Supervisors Lagret and Avril Heert during one board meeting in 3 BBY. Shortly after, he reported to Rael when he found out that Meero had secretly been leading the Empire's project on the planet Ghorman. Major Lio Partagaz also assigned Jung and Heert to overseeing the ISB's interests in a new cross-branch program involving the torture specialist Doctor Gorst, although Rael's network was soon able to eliminate Gorst.

In 2 BBY, Beska, an ISB agent working for Jung, corrupted a rebel team set up to extract Senator Mon Mothma following her speech against the Empire's atrocities on Ghorman. However, Rael learned of the corruption, and one of his own agents killed Beska while extracting Mothma himself. In 1 BBY, Jung, fearing Rael's safety, infiltrated Meero's files and discovered the Empire's Death Star project. Setting up an emergency meeting with Rael, Jung slowly revealed the details of what he knew, bargaining for the safety of him and his family. Rael broke his promise and killed Jung, with the fateful intelligence being able to reach the Rebel Alliance.
