Ludwin Katarkus was a Jedi Master serving the Jedi Order during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. They were sent on a diplomatic mission to mediate the Virgillian Civil War with their Padawan, Danyawarra, and two other Jedi. The Jedi Master died during the mission, but their Padawan survived, going on to serve in the Clone Wars. Three weeks after the Jedi Master's disappearance, Katarkus's death was announced in the HoloNet News, and the Jedi Temple announced it would hold a funeral for them.
