Lunus was a Moff of the Galactic Empire.
Lunus often used wild and dangerous animals for interrogation and punishment purposes. In 1 ABY the Moff tried to acquire more such dangerous beasts. After Lunus had located a den of bloodthirsty predators, a team of veteran hunters was hired to attack the creatures and evaluate how dangerous they were. Lunus hoped that some or all civilian contractors would be slain, proving that the beasts were worthy of inclusion in the Moff's private stock.
