Mai was a Zabrak Jedi Master who served the New Jedi Order during the Second Imperial Civil War. Surviving the Jedi Purge, Mai traveled to the Hidden Jedi Temple and lived around 130 ABY. The Jedi Master attended to Azlyn Rae as Cade Skywalker and Shado Vao met with the Jedi Council.
When Jariah Syn recognized Master Rasi Tuum, the Jedi who killed his father, he slowly backed away from the group. Worried, Master Mai followed him and asked if he was ill. Syn yelled at Mai to get away from him and punched Mai, who was rendered unconsciousness.
