Mata (biologist)

Mata was a female Selkath biologist and the younger sister of Wo Kasto. Around 3625 BBY, Mata joined the Selkath Isolationists following the Invasion of Manaan and the death of her mother at the hands of Krallet Division. However, she left the group a few weeks before the ambush in the Temple of the Progenitor and had been in hiding ever since. Wo Kasto later introduced Mata into the Manaan Incorporation Project, leading her to encounter the Galactic Republic diplomat Minn Ishkah. Kasto soon expressed his disapproval over a budding relationship forming between Mata and Ishkah.
