Mawin was a Cerean female who was the fourth wife of Ki-Adi Mundi and the mother of Ki-Adi's daughter Sylvn. Even though the Jedi Code forbade emotional attachments, the low Cerean male birthrate granted an exception. Ki-Adi was allowed not only to marry, but to keep the Cerean custom of polygamy as well. During the Clone Wars, Mawin perished during the Battle of Cerea between the Grand Army of the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
