Norokai was a veteran of the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry who joined the company prior to its campaign on the planet Vir Aphshire. Following that battle in 0 ABY, the rebel Private Hazram Namir compared Norokai to a newly recruited clansman of the Malkhanis, a ruthless army from Namir's homeworld of Crucival. In Namir's opinion, both Norokai and the Malkhanis held faith in their commanders despite claiming cynicism.
