R5-D5

R5-D5 was an R5 series astromech droid manufactured by Industrial Automaton. In 9 BBY, the R-series astromech droid was operating on the Imperial-controlled planet Mapuzo, where it worked alongside the loader droid NED-B on a landing pad atop a flat mesa.

Both droids were present when the TR-286 transport designated transport eight arrived from the planet Daiyu. As the ship's droids began to unload its cargo, NED-B gestured to R5-D5, who stood next to a communications silo. The astromech droid then turned to the silo as the stowaways Obi-Wan Kenobi and Princess Leia Organa snuck out of transport eight behind the droids' backs. R5-D5 had pink-and-white plating, black sensors, and stood ninety-seven centimeters tall.
