R5-X3

R5-X3 was a red-and-white plated R5-series astromech droid that worked for the Resistance during the Cold War with the First Order by 34 ABY. Stationed at the Resistance base on the planet D'Qar, the astromech droid performed maintenance duties and also co-piloted a T-70 X-wing starfighter with a Resistance pilot on missions for the Resistance Starfighter Corps.

Following the Battle of Takodana, R5-X3 wheeled past engineers working on a portable generator to service one of the newly landed X-wings. After the Resistance located the cause of the Hosnian Cataclysm, the droid participated in the attack on Starkiller Base with its pilot. The two survived and returned to D'Qar. Remaining in the X-wing's astromech socket, R5-X3 watched as a group of Resistance fighters celebrated the successful destruction of the Starkiller weapon.
