Ramsis Dendup was a human male who served as the king of the planet Onderon during the Clone Wars, in which he tried to remain neutral. Dendup's vow for neutrality backfired, with the Separatists sweeping in and occupying the planet. He was removed from power and imprisoned in the Unifar Temple garden, while Count Dooku installed Sanjay Rash as the puppet king of Onderon. However, a band of rebels opposed the Separatist occupation of their home planet and supported Dendup's claim against Rash. With the help of the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic, Steela Gerrera's insurgents fought a campaign to drive the battle droid army off of Onderon. The rebels received help from the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order, as well as the eventual the aid of Akenathen Tandin and the Royal Onderon Militia. Together, they rescued Dendup from imprisonment during his execution and restored the king to the throne after the civil war ended.
