Rel Bentin was a male captain in the Galactic Empire. After Imperial Captain Thrawn failed to comprehend the Kaleesh species' culture by studying their art, he bombarded the Kaleesh planet Oben, destroying the headquarters of the Kaleesh commander, warlord Bentilais san Sk'ar. Afterward, Bentin encountered a surrendering Sk'ar in his base, and was intimidated by the warlord's size, bringing the Kaleesh to Emperor Palpatine. Palpatine then allowed Sk'ar to serve the Imperial Military.
