Sam Kenzie was a rehabilitation officer of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Bureau of Punitive Correction who was stationed at the prison Megalox Beta during the Imperial Era. Kenzie became acquainted with Cycyed Ock, a Keredian whose crew was imprisoned at Megalox Beta after stealing treasure on Iskalon. Ock convinced Kenzie to spring them in exchange for a quarter-share of their profits, and Kenzie recorded the details of their encounter in the Smuggler's Guide.
