Shaparo was a Rebel Alliance agent. He was the owner of the astromech droid R2-Q8. He used its Intellex IV droid brain to access prison records of the Dnalvec garrison on Sriluur.
During the battle of Archais, Shaparo's "patchwork" was essential to rescue Akul Witig's unit (probably Midnight Squadron or Storm Squadron) after they were trapped on the Tylerin Embankment.
