Shohta Laar was a male Chev slave of Chevin cantina regular Guumak on Vinsoth. In 44 ABY, he was bet in a drinking game by Guumak, who lost him to Madhi Vaandt. Vaandt then freed Laar and hired him as part of her reporting crew. During the massacre on Blaudu Sextus in 44 ABY, he disobeyed the instruction of Madhi Vaandt and assisted Jedi Sothais Saar and Avinoam Arelis in the arrest of Mandalorian commander Belok Rhal.
