Simonelle

Simonelle was an Ingoian scientist based in the Minos Cluster. His enclave was hidden.

The doctor picked up experimentation with HRDs when the Rebel Alliance's Project Decoy failed; a pirated copy of a prototype droid, and the project's plans, came to his possession. Thanks to these, he created several "primitive" droids, before he made his masterpiece, Xizor's assassin droid, Guri.

Xizor paid nine million credits to buy Guri, however Simonelle secretly used the credits (and the experience) to build a replica droid of himself. He also started creating other droids in his workshop. Xizor however prized Guri so much that he didn't wish her creator to lessen her value or being threatened by droids with Guri's abilities.

Luckily, Simonelle was in a distant room, with his replica working, when Xizor sent Guri to his workshop to kill her own creator. The engineer watched at a vid-screen as Guri stroke "his" head before strangling him. Guri neglected destroying the doctor's work before leaving. After watching all these, Simonelle started planning his disappearance to fake his death.
