A Dathomirian female was the firstborn daughter of Mother Talzin, matriarch and shaman of the Witches of Dathomir's Nightsister coven on the Outer Rim Territories planet Dathomir. In her religious manifesto Wild Power, published sometime between 22 BBY and 20 BBY, Talzin claimed that while giving birth to her daughter, she was struck with a fatal affliction and nearly died. She cited that during a vision of the Spirit World, she was saved by the Spirits—mythological embodiments of the Force in Nightsister mythology. Wild Power was one of many writings collected in the Sith historical book Book of Sith, assembled by Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious sometime between 19 BBY and 18 BBY.
