Taquana was a member of the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing during the Galactic Civil War. While the unit, aboard the bulk freighter Yadeez, was stationed with a large amount of Imperial loyalist forces at the planet Jakku in 5 ABY, the members of the 204th took part in a war game with some allied Imperial forces there. Prior to his departure from the fighter wing, Colonel Soran Keize praised Taquana's performance in the combat exercises.
