Udrai was a commander in the Galactic Empire's navy who served aboard the Star Destroyer Determination. After the destruction of the Death Star in 1 BBY, the commander told an Imperial squadron to come forward to ask for help if they had troubling thoughts. After Lieutenant Tarvyn Lareka identified this with Captain Iden Versio in 1 ABY, the lieutenant informed Udrai of the captain's thoughts. The commander attempted to reach them, but a squad of stormtroopers arrested the pair first.
