A crown prince was a Human male member of House Panteer, the royal family of the planet Alderaan. Around 3703 BBY, the prince was arranged to marry a girl from House Organa, but a young Jedi discovered that the bride was in fact a daughter of House Thul—the child had been switched at birth with an Organa infant. The Jedi stopped the wedding and exposed the Thuls' treachery, resulting in their exile.
