A Kurtzen participated in an auction at Mawbo's Performance Hall on the planet Tatooine in 8 ABY. The Kurtzen bid against the Squib Sligh for a holocube that, the auctioneer claimed, showed an image of the Human Anakin Skywalker at age nine. When a bidding war with the Squib ensued, the Kurtzen eventually relented.
