A member of the Noble Court was a contender for the throne of the aristocracy during the Iron Blockade, a time shortly after the Empire's defeat at the Battle of Endor in which the Empire locked down the Anoat sector so that its occupants could not learn about Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine's death during that battle. They claimed the right to duel the sitting leader of the Noble Court, Her Majesty, who was permitted to have a champion duel in her stead.
The Smuggler, an ally of Her Majesty and leader of the Uprising, provided her with a member of their crew to act as her champion.
