During the High Republic Era, an Ortolan served as a bloodletter. At some point between 234 BBY and 200 BBY, Lohim Nara, dreaming of joining the Jedi Order, paid the Ortolan bloodletter to perform a test on him and write a fake high midi-chlorian count. The results were given to him in a flimsi.
